Ripserver died

Postby Norbert Groen on Fri Jun 11, 2010 2:57 pm

Hi,

My ripserver died, he was just doing his thing for 2 years now but suddenly he stopped. I heard a weird sound, disconnected it and opened the box.
When I connect the power, a red LED flashes from the PicoPSU, when I detach it from the motherboard it show a green LED and no weird flicking sound.
What is my problem? My board died? Or my PSU.
I think it's the board.
Then another question: as I need to reanimate the server, I need a new board, but I'm not that technical. I can manage to reassemble the stuff, but what board do I buy? I searched for an epial-n10000eg and found some but it's everywhere out of stock (I live in Amsterdam). Can I buy another similar board (eventually simpler while I only user it for ripping and serving music over my network). But I hope the server will work out of the box.

Any Ideas how I can detect what's wrong with the thing and which resembling board I could buy?
Maybe someone´s got a spare one;-)

With kind regards,

Norbert.
